Poultry and Goat Projects:
On March 7th, WCFJC celebrated the closing of Phase I of our Poultry Project and the launch of Phase II of our goat project. The event was held at Butagaya Sub-County Headquarters and was well attended by beneficiaries and local leaders including Jinja District’s Woman Member of Parliament, the Jinja District Chief Administrative Officer as well as the Local Council Chairmen from levels 1 to 5 and their staff.
Beneficiaries from the poultry project received the profits they had earned as well as prizes for good performance. Additionally, 15 new beneficiaries from Nawampanda Parish received she-goats. 14 of the she-goats were purchased by student and faculty of the Department of Gender Studies at George Mason University, Virginia, USA. The 15th goat was purchased by the Wong Family of Pasadena, California, USA
