WCFJC Training on Poultry Management (12th April – 6th May 2007) at two community locations
Trainees: 60 participants from two community based women groups
Trainers: Abraham Kyeba, local government veterinary officer
Activities: Classroom instruction as well as hands-on practical lessons on poultry rearing. The month of May was dedicated to the construction of 11 poultry houses to accommodate day-old chicks to be delivered in July. Trainees constructed the poultry houses at their own cost.
WCFJC sponsored the collection of grass used to thatch the houses and also delivered coffee husks for the house floors, poultry drinkers and feeders.
