Goat Project: Jenny is the young 100% exotic buck that WCFJC purchased in February 2008. Jenny was a donation from Jenny Tung, USA. Jenny is doing well and following the recent loss of Jolly (April 2008), WCFJC has taken extra measures to ensure that the goat’s surroundings are hygienic. Each goat and goat shed are now on a weekly disinfecting schedule.

In the meantime, 10 of 30 recent trainees from our Goat Management Training Workshop have satisfactorily met WCFJC’s requirements in order to receive a she-goat namely:

  1. Cucting a goat shed in the homestead at their own expense
  2. Planting fodder for the goat to feed on
  3. Planting a vegetable garden
  4. Constructing a pit latrine

WCFJC will however wait until another 10 qualify before distributing the she-goats.

Poultry Project: Poultry immunization had an adverse effect on egg production, leading to a further decline in sales.

Hair Salon Project:: Hair Salon Monthly Earnings are beginning to pick up. We expect to see this community group constructing a hair salon on the plot WCFJC recently purchased on its behalf.
