June 14th saw the launch of the 1st WCFJC Training Course – Zero Grazing Goats (Nakakulwe Bulondo Goat Project). This is a 15 week course with classes conducted by the District Veterinary Officer Dr Herbert Wambi, every Wednesday afternoon. Topics to be covered include – Pasture Establishment & Maintenance, Shed Construction, Records & Record Keeping, Hay/Silage Making & Straw Treatment among others. Instruction is conducted both in-class and in-field.

Group members with a strong attendance and participation record will qualify to receive 1 or 2 goats each. In return, once their goats deliver offspring, beneficiaries will give 2 kid goats to WCFJC for distribution to future program beneficiaries.
