Frequent Questions

Who We Are

Is there a limit to the number of in-kind loans a woman can obtain from WCFJC?

Provided she continues to meet WCFJC participation requirements, each borrower is eligible to obtain in-kind loans sequentially (i.e. obtain a new loan once her current loan has been paid off) for a total period of 24 months of loan servicing time. In other words, we count loan participation time as the time during which a loan is being repaid. If a borrower typically undertakes to pay a loan within a four month period, she may receive as many as six loans, if each has a repayment period of four months. Once a borrower reaches the 24 month limit, she becomes a mentor and coach to other program participants. She however can continue to participate in WCFJC non-loan activities e.g. business skills training and tailored business coaching.
